Blu Orchid Multimedia just released the full version of their interview with The Weeknd. He talks about his songwriting, rapping (back when he recorded Krispy, Godzilla and the like), his performance at the University of Toronto, working with producer Majesty, Kid Classic and more. However, the video was promptly removed from YouTube along with the freestyle posted yesterday. As usual, we have the rip of the full interview which you can listen to above.

Fun Fact: The Weeknd used to be known as “Kin Kane” in the group “Kin Kane and Jesse Ray” (not “King Kane” as the video originally suggested).

Back in 2008, Blu Orchid Multimedia interviewed The Weeknd before Drake brought him under his wing. At the time, according to the video description, “The Weeknd was under a duo group known as King Kane & Jesse Ray (under Entyse Entertainment)”.
